The motivation behind the vision of LOFHSG stems from a desire to heal generational trauma. The creator is a direct descendant of a race massacre that occurred in 1915 in Early County Georgia. The massacre occurred during the developing years of the Ku Klux Klan and also during a time when wealthy African American business men were being lynched as a means to control the economic progression of the African American race and culture.
The United States and many ofter countries have suffered through racial injustices and practices rooted in slavery and colonialism. Race, a social construct, has not spared any of us from the experience of generational trauma and the epigenetic impact. Regardless of cultural identification (because there's really no such thing as race) we are all impacted by at least one of the following: anxiety, depression, cPTSD, ACE's, substance abuse, mental health issues, domestic violence, low-self worth, low self esteem, people pleasing, chronic illness, chronic pain, emotional dysregulation, ADD, ADHD, neurodivergence, HSP, plus more. Epigenetic research (the study of how genes modify) has found that this short list of conditions have all been directly connected to generational trauma.
The mission is to create a healing sanctuary and wellness center that provides healing support for the local community that was impacted by racial tragedy and all other persons in need of healing trauma. Lessening the pain in the world will lessen the war in the world.
